Rock Waves (Creation Myth)
Rock waves endless waves rolling eternal waves…
Existing before existence
Magical mystical mother father creature crawler
Sitting on their thrones in a home
Iridescent wall of time and space immeasurable
Wave world rocking waving rolling endless eternal
Before them in their sky so high in a world not made
Sits their babe looking down on waves endless waves
Always first, always last, child looks up and asks:
“Is it not time for the waves to unwind
land mass to unhatch, create worlds to shine?”
Father mother ponders wonders looks down at child and thunders:
“Well done daughter son
Living at the bottom of the sea lies egg eyes
Down to the depths holding breath you must fly
Sleeping and dreaming infinity egg eyes
Gather them up and ascend to the sky”
Child leaves on wings wind sings sweetly salty
Waving waving foaming rolling sea calling me
Clement Mason
Long ago beyond the seven eternities and the seven seas
there was a mason beckoned to build a castle far away and amidst the trees.
He left his wife and newborn babe with just a scarf and he sayed:
“This scarf will turn red if I befall an ill fate.”
And with that he was gone from sight, out the gate.
Build Build mortar brick lime’s thicker than mud
Twelve shrugs don’t stick, gotta build it up
Build Build mortar brick lime’s thicker than blood
Twelve shrugs don’t stick, gotta build it up…
Twelve masons took counsel to build the castle of Deva
They built it up for two bushels of gold, two bushels of silver
They delivered their sweat but progress wouldn’t progress
Walls that were standing erect by noontime
Crashed smashed and collapsed and fell by moonshine
And the walls built up by night
Were nothing but rubble and dust by light
No one understood it why it wouldn’t come together
Not the weather nor the wind’s grin made it any better…
Twelve masons took counsel to build the castle once again
“How do we make strong our walls?”
“The only answer is men”
So they decided undivided after a time of discussion
That they would draw straws under stars –the function
To be to pick out the two who would split the bushels
They rest, well they’d be built into the walls
Starting at the feet then it creeps to the knees
Build up to the waist chest, neck then face with haste
Mortar paste keep the pace the place was filled with moans and groans oh no…
The walls up at noon didn’t fall at night, and by light, it was done.
The Rabbit Shepherd
All hail the king in his turquoise crown
In the castle Deva with his only child
Hail the king from all around
Marry his daughter Zuska and receive the crown…
When beautiful princess Zuska reached the age of marrying
From near and far traveled this proclamation from the king:
“Come one come all fat skinny short tall
If you think you ready to marry the princess
Come to the castle Deva and be put to the test”
Hordes of lords and dukes for sooth came to the gate and had to wait
Zusk came out, tried their fate
She threw a golden apple in the sky so high
Never did it come down to the ground –oh my
Leaping to catch grasp try after try
The suitors failed by and by
Until the very last day when something kinda crazy happened…
A poor boy in a bright red scarf showed up and said: “I’d like a shot”
From the front to the back everybody laughed
In disbelief of what he asked trying to out step his class
Zusk said: “That’s enough, you all act so tough”
And she threw the golden apple in the sky so high
Disappearing from the sight of all their eyes
But the boy caught it, held it up in his hand
Goddamn he was the man so the king devised a plan
“You have only passed the first test of two.
If you can guard my rabbits, I’ll marry my daughter to you.
If not, then I will take your life”
The boy agreed and turned dead white
Knowing nothing of rabbits and in despair
Just then out of nowhere
The rabbit spirit appeared and said unto him:
“Take this silver whistle it will call the rabbits to you”
With that it disappeared and the boy lived a new truth
All the rabbits were released from their hutches
And took like the wind in every direction
But the boy blew the whistle and they all came to him
Lined up and he grinned cos he knew he had winned
Entering the castle he was overjoyed
But it was short lived because he was the boy
Of Clement Mason who was built into the wall
The sight of his son breaking his heart causing the castle to
fall
Mayhem ensued everyone met the fate of mortals
Except for Zuska who fell into a portal

Looking for a game of gin
Trouble in his eye, whiskey on his chin
Ghouls playing pool while fools drool on the floor
Sits down at the table trying to start a score
“What’s your game?” cried an apparition
appearing from a flame, everybody stopped and listened
“Brimstone Blaine, that’s my name
Read it of the shining of my emerald chain
Ain’t no dummy wanna play some gin rummy
Aint a damn thing funny so what you want from me?”
Two apparitions started sitting at the table
Then Zuska out of nowhere as if out of a fable
Brimstone checked his pager and hollered “What’s the wager?”
“A bushel of silver and a bushel of gold
but from you two we need your souls”
Blaine and Zuska looked into each others’ eyes and sighed
They were in it pretty deep might not get out alive…
Throwing down books, looks fly across the room
